FAQ
Process
What does the process look like when we start a project?
+
We always start with a discovery meeting where we learn about your business, your goals and what you actually need to build. We then develop the UX, UI and an MVP that you approve before we start building. The project runs in agile sprints with transparent updates throughout.
How long does a typical project take?
+
It depends entirely on scope. A simpler app or MVP can be ready in 8–12 weeks. More complex systems and platforms typically take 3–6 months. We always give you a realistic time estimate during discovery — not one that just looks good on paper.
How involved are we as a client during the project?
+
As much or as little as you want — but we recommend you stay involved in steering the direction continuously. We hold regular sprint demos, share updates transparently and push back when we see better solutions. You always see what's happening.
What happens after launch?
+
We stay. Most of our clients have an ongoing partnership with us — we handle updates, new features and technical support. We see ourselves as a long-term partner, not a vendor who delivers and disappears.
Pricing
How do you price your services?
+
We price per project or as an ongoing monthly retainer — never per hour. That means you always know what you're paying, and we stay focused on delivering value rather than filling hours. The exact price is always based on scope after a discovery meeting.
What does it cost to get started?
+
The first meeting is always free. We listen to your challenge, share our view of the solution and scope it out — no commitment required. Reach out and we'll take it from there.
Can we start small and scale up?
+
Yes — and we often recommend it. Starting with an MVP or proof of concept lets you validate the idea quickly without committing a large budget. We always design so that what we deliver can be built upon.
Technology
Do you build for both iOS and Android?
+
Yes. We build in React Native to cover both platforms with one codebase, or in native Swift/Kotlin when the project demands it. We always recommend what fits your situation best — not what's easiest for us.
Do we own the code when the project is done?
+
Yes, always. You own all code, all assets and all infrastructure we build for you. You are never locked into us.
Can you integrate with our existing systems?
+
Yes. We regularly work with integrations against ERP systems, CRMs, external APIs and legacy systems. Whatever you have today — we find a way to connect it.
The team
Who works on my project?
+
We're a team of senior developers and designers, matched to your project's needs. The same people stay with you from start to finish.
Where is the team based?
+
We are based in Stockholm and India. Management and client contact sit in Stockholm. The development team is distributed with senior developers at both locations.
Do you work with clients outside Sweden?
+
Yes. We work with clients globally — across the Nordics, Europe, North America, Asia and beyond. We have clients on every continent. Communication happens in Swedish or English — whatever suits you best.
Can you take on projects at short notice?
+
Sometimes — it depends on what we have in the pipeline right now. The best approach is to reach out as early as possible. Book a meeting and you'll get an honest answer on whether we can take you on and when.
General
What sets Nytt IQ apart from other tech companies?
+
We build what you actually need, not just what you ask for. That means we challenge and ask questions before we start coding, so the solution solves the right problem from the start. We work closely and transparently throughout the process, with clear communication that keeps projects free of unpleasant surprises. And we stay involved as the product grows, not just until launch.
Can you help us with an MVP?
+
Yes. Most projects start here. We focus on building only what's needed to test the idea with real users, not everything you might eventually want.
What is Huntry?
+
Huntry is our own AR platform for location-based hunts and events. Used by brands like Tershine for customer engagement and lead generation — the Tershine Easter hunt generated 30,000 leads and reached #1 on the App Store.
How do you pick the right app developer?
+
Look at three things: past results with verifiable numbers (not just pretty pictures), transparency about process and cost, and whether the team actually understands your business. We always encourage potential clients to read our Clutch reviews — they're written by real clients, not us.
Do you work under NDAs and confidentiality agreements?
+
Absolutely. We are used to working under confidentiality and sign NDAs when needed. Discreet projects are part of our everyday work.
Can you take over a project started by another vendor?
+
Yes. We regularly take over projects mid-stream. We always do a technical review of the existing codebase before committing, so we know exactly what we're taking on.
How do you stay current with AI and new models?
+
We actively build with the latest tools — it's not a side project for us. AI integration is part of everyday work in our projects, and we continuously test new models and frameworks. It shows in what we deliver.
